Jacob Porter B. A., Centenary College Jacob Porter performed for the opening events of the Meadows Museum of Art in which the King of Spain was in attendance. He attended The Aspen Music Festival and School in 2000 where he studied under Sharon Isbin and Lily Afshar. He has played concerts throughout the southern United States. He has performed in master classes given by Christopher Parkening, Muriel Anderson, Karl Maria von Kruger, Lily Afshar, Miguel Antonio, Jorge Morel, and Sharon Isbin. Born in Andrews, TX, Jacob Porter studied at Centenary College in Louisiana, under Susan Graham, where he received degrees in Classical Guitar Performance and Business Administration. He also studied under Robert Guthrie at Southern Methodist University where he received his Masters of Music in Classical Guitar Perfomance. Jacob Porter currently resides in Corpus Christi, TX where he is
a Visiting Lecturer of Music at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. |
