Texas A&M Corpus Christi is pleased to be the new South Texas site for the SASI Drum Major and Leadership Camp! The camp includes extensive training in areas such as conducting, marching
fundamentals, leadership and more. The SASI Camp is recognized throughout
the United States as one of the finest and most individualized camps in
existence. Band directors from across the state of Texas have given this
camp rave reviews! If you will be a drum major or section leader this year, or if you aspire to one of these positions in the future this is the camp for you! Conducting Instruction Participants will receive conducting training from Nicholas Williams, Associate Director of Wind Studies - University of North Texas. The SASI conducting curriculum is a fresh, modern approach to marching band. Marching Instruction Participants will receive innovative, corps style marching training from Jeremy Spicer , Associate Director of Bands and Director of the Marching Band at Cedar Park High School. Leadership Development Participants will receive leadership training from Ron Morrison, SASI, CEO and former Director of Bands at Cedar Park High School. The SASI leadership & empowerment curriculum is a fresh, modern approach to leadership. Specialized Instruction and Guest Appearances Each camp will bring its own set of unique clinicians. Our list of featured clinicians include Dr. Rod Schueller, Dr. Nicholas Williams, Dr. Shawn Smith, and David Bertman. Lodging: Participants will be lodged at the perspective university dorms. Participants
will need linens, toiletries, and other personal items as none will be
furnished by the university. Tuition: Resident Tuition is $400.00 per participant. Commuter Tuition is $250.00 per participant. A $10.00 fee will be assessed for Credit Card Payment. --Covers all camp related materials for both resident and commuter participants. --Covers all meals for both resident and commuter participants. --Covers lodging for resident participants only. Enrollment: Is limited to 250 participants per camp Who may attend: Current drum majors, future drum majors, student leaders, and potential student leaders are invited to attend!!! |
